It was VH-OJK, it touched down in Perth late this afternoon then continued to Syd!

Its now north of Picton at 12,600ft and descending.

Since it was OJK the media got excited because they could double the length of the story. If it wasn't OJK, they wouldn't have a lot of file footage to show. 10 news this morning had a camera up at the observation deck for its arrival (complete with the reflection of the information screen!)

From the QF Arrivals page it looks like they landed about 11.15pm last night. I assume a curfew dispensation was granted or would they have copped the fine in preference to 300 hotel rooms and negative publicity?

According to a report in The West Australian approval was given to land after curfew

The 18-year-old plane is due to be retired in November.
