Surprised both are not in museums, given their age. AJJ has certainly had an interesting life, remember talking to her often when doing the night freight runs for Ansett, and of course we are coming up to the thirtieth anniversary of the last fatal crash at YSSY of sister WW24 VH-IWJ, may her pilots RIP.

Yeah, not often you get to see them together in Wagga. We've had VH-KNU (quick stop over) and VH-KNS (spent a few days here after a tech issue) in Wagga before. VH-SLD is another Learjet (though 35 not a 36) but was here for paint. Not too sure what the future has install for AJJ and SLF, possibly a repaint. Would've love to have got photos of them coming in but been living in the darkroom (film photography) for the past week.

Well had a very good winter rainfall wise, though September has been a little on the dry side (not too surprised). It is good and bad, good for the farmers crops but bad for the upcoming fire season.

Beech 300 VH-FIZ, Callsign OZCAL4, is out at the moment calibrating the ILS etc. on Runway 25. After this screen shot they flew a perfect
6 DME arc from the Harbour Bridge to Cape Banks.

Mystery solved ... I spoke to one of the pilots from Sydney Helitours

The electrical cables extending from below the rear window of the Robinsons down to the silver attachments on the skids, were being used for live coverage
of the Sydney Marathon. They are actually part of an Upload/Download system from cameras mounted on motorcycles. They receive the signal from the
motorcycle and retransmit it to an antenna on the top of the AMP Building from memory.

Their R66 has a belly mounted system and the EC130B4 VH-XEV has the full camera setup.

Hey Reece! There are another 6 of those, operated by Qantas's NZ subsidiary JetConnect. They do QF's trans-Tasman flying (except 1 Saturday return service out of Brissie) & I believe the reasoning is lower wage costs in NZ than Australia. Hope that helps!?

VH-SLE (Learjet 35A) and VH-SLJ (Learjet 36). SLE really is needing a paint job! Heat haze was an issue today, so apologies for the quality.

Great to see them all in one place Robert, they usually head out in pairs for the different exercises they conduct for the military.

Just missing VH-AJP, VH-AJV, VH-SLD, VH-KNR, VH-KNS and VH-KNU to complete the family.

VH-SLD was painted into the new colours early in the year and VH-KNS went tech at Wagga after a flight from Avalon and VH-KNU made a very brief visit in 2014.
