heard that the 700s are coming from the Netherlands, KLM I believe. High spec aircraft, not cheapies. And I don't know why VA is getting 700s instead of 800s, or Max 8s.

Leases on older aircraft are probably cheap while the 700 makes more sense on skinnier routes, Virgin cannot rely on Alliance anymore to fill in on those routes.
