AirwaysNews (http://airwaysnews.com/blog/2015/03/29/air-canada-a320-hits-power-lines-and-suffers-a-hard-landing-in-halifax/) is reporting that the aircraft hit power lines and suffered a hard landing. The aircraft initially held for 15 minutes at 9000ft, before making the landing attempt in low visibility, low ceiling and high winds. A photograph of the aircraft suggests that the left wing was completely destroyed, and the aircraft may be a rightoff.

The Air Canada A320 C-FTJP (AC624) touched down 1,100ft short of the runway, hitting the ILS antenna array and removing the main undercarriage, before sliding along the runway for a further 1,100ft, where an engine was ripped off the wing. There is significant damage to the underside of the aircraft.
