Hope it gets parked at the GA, although highly unlikely.

Not a regular flight, sure, but:

Sydney-Canberra must surely be one extremely short sector for a 747.

Not the best day to take photos, and seeing that it went full length on 34L then turned and taxied bast the Domestic Terminal , the International was not the place to be.

At least I got a photo of it.:D

Great to see it in the 'NEW' colour scheme...

Thanks Lee for the photo.

Brought back memories of my early days at KSA seeing the building in the background to the left of the a/c tail. Building 60 was the airport administration office with the control tower on the top floor. I think this was the second tower built (pre WWII?) which will make the current tower No.5.

The DCA logo and date? can be seen on the external wall of Building 60 from the western end of the domestic multi-level car park.

Now sitting over at the old RAAF base at Fairbain, adjacent to the Kuwaiti A310-300 9K-ALD (hybrid Kuwait Airways/State of Kuwait colourscheme) in Canberra for the soccer game tonight.

Is the 747 staying around in Canberra until tomorrow (Friday) afternoon per chance?
Might skip over after work if so.
Cheers John

interesting he didn't fly Korean Air! wonder what arrangement was made - flying Asiana instead of Korean etc.
