Asiana 744 to Sydney
Morning all,
Due from Auckland at around 1100 is an Asiana 744 HL7428. It is carrying the PM of Korea. It is usinf f/n AAR6057. |

On the Sydney Airport website it says Asiana 6507 departing at 09:30am tomorrow to Canberra?

Hope it gets parked at the GA, although highly unlikely.

Not a regular flight, sure, but:
Sydney-Canberra must surely be one extremely short sector for a 747. |

Not the best day to take photos, and seeing that it went full length on 34L then turned and taxied bast the Domestic Terminal , the International was not the place to be.

Thanks Lee for the photo.
Brought back memories of my early days at KSA seeing the building in the background to the left of the a/c tail. Building 60 was the airport administration office with the control tower on the top floor. I think this was the second tower built (pre WWII?) which will make the current tower No.5. The DCA logo and date? can be seen on the external wall of Building 60 from the western end of the domestic multi-level car park.
