As I walked over to Mona Vale headland this afternoon, the Ambulance Service of NSW Agusta 139 VH-SYV approached low from the west, and positioned over the blowhole at Warriewood beach. After watching a little of what was unfolding, I returned home to pickup the camera and head over to Turrametta headland for a closer view.
Someone had jumped into shallow water at the blowhole and received spinal injuries. VH-SYV lowered two crew members down onto the rock platform, and then the patient was lifted in a stretcher with one crew member, followed by another lift of the second crew member.
Although the Police had blocked off some of the usual viewing areas at the blowhole, I found a nice location to look down on all the action.
