Haha Mark’s comment about the temp terminal being onboard OJA wasn’t too fat wrong!

Departure this morning to Brisbane apparently went well.
But the return leg this afternoon resulted in a missed approach (around the time of the southerly buster, so no idea if that was a factor in the missed approach), then a bunch of orbits off the coast before she headed direct to Essendon. Does anyone have the actual reason for bailing from YWOL instead of attempting more approaches?

Indeed I was down there last weekend and thought the same thing. HARS is looking great, whole precinct shows what good people with good intentions can achieve.

JG58 AVV - WOL running 3 hrs behind schedule this evening... Heading to Sydney. I'm assuming poor visibility @ WOL this evening.

There's light drizzle falling at present, so I'd assume the cloud base is pretty low.

Having flown on the inaugural service into WOL I would have to guess that there is not a great deal or margin for error flying in and out, so would guess diversions will be a norm for this service.

As I understand it they currently only have 3 active aircraft? VH-JGB is showing as last seen in Sydney last month.
There appears to have been no flights from WOL to MEB/BNE yesterday after Sunday night's delays? |

One of their aircraft is in a hangar at YSSY in bits and pieces. I imagine it might take a little while to put it all back together...
