Default New Fence At Sheps Mound

That new fence at Sheps Mound is a bit of a downer innit?

How's everyone feel about it?

Where will you take your spotting dollar now?

Discuss!

I’ve seen it recently on the SydSquad live stream, same fence that was installed along Ross Smith Ave a few years ago.

If you're standing on the mound the top of the fence is a little below runway level. It'll be interesting to see how bad it looks once the gate is done

I suppose the place will become an annoying ladder hub now.

At least the fence is below the runway level. I have heard that the light poles are not returning which is great news.

Lights will probably be installed on the fence. Though had expected the fence to be upgraded but they took their time.

Just proofs what the Airport thinks of spotters. They knew why the mound was built.

This recent google maps review of Sheps Mound also has videos of the new fence + how aircraft taxiing along Charlie are now obstructed
