N888GX is about to depart.
The US GV 10065 looks like it will depart sometime today. (gone now) N150GV is still in the GA. N598F is still there too. The V-Aus B777-3ZGER VH-VPD is parked at Bay 99 close to the fenceline. TBM 850 VH-SMZ is parked in front of VH-MGC. C172RG VH-NCH made a fleeting appearance, landing on Rwy 16L and departing off Rwy 16R half an hour later after what can only be suspected as a KK run. Lear ZK-XVL is parked outside of Hawkers.

Hey Nigel,
What do you mean be a "KK run" in relation to the C172? Cheers M |

This term specifically refers to the "olden days" when people use to make the trek to Penrith to purchase doughnuts from a franchise with identical initials to those referenced by Nigel "Legend" C.
Since the opening of their Sydney Airport mega-store no doubt owners are light aircraft are finding any excuse to drop on in, pick up some dough and depart back to their towns to spread the cheer! However, perhaps more appropriate these days it the store with the big yellow "M" next door that may have been the target of the flying visit, I hear they offer a phenomenal ordering experience using computer booths where you select your own meal.......... what next, "cook it yourself and save 50c" burgers? Anyway, I hope my answer is suffice to clear up any confusion around the term "KK Run". Back on topic, I believe F-27 EWP to be on the ground here in Brisbane. Always nice to see these little Fokkers ![]()

Thanks Craig, nicely explained!
I do remember a call to security asking for access through Gate P9 at around the time of shut-down of NCH. Gate P9 just happens to grant speedy access to said establishment. ![]() On another note, Agusta 139 VH-SYV made an appearance to the Air Ambo hangar last night and is undergoing some maintenance. It is due to leave sometime this morning if all goes well.

Over here in HNL the locals do special trips over to Maui and back (both air and inter-island ferry) to load up on the infamous KK's. Before we had the ferry the interisland airlines were limiting how many boxes could be brought on board beacuse they were taking up all the room in the overhead bins so the tourists had no place to put their holiday luggage. Since the ferry started now many take their cars over and load the boot up with boxes of the things.
Oh well !!! ![]() MS |
