Default USA Vice Presidential Aircraft - "Air Force Two"

Many spotters are familiar with the famous "Air Force One" that flies the US President all over the world. However, here is the less famous "Air Force Two" that is used to transport the US Vice President.

The plane is also used to transport the Secretary of State or the First Lady (President's wife) when she is on official business without her husband.

Air Force Two is the call sign used by air traffic control for any US Air Force aircraft carrying the Vice President. Normally it is a C-32 but not always.

Both AF1 and AF2 were established due to an incident in 1953 where a plane carrying President Eisenhower and a commercial flight both had the same call sign and were in the same airspace at the same time
