A Piece Of History
It is 22 years since Air India operated services into Sydney, the last being in January 1991, operated by B747 equipment. Melbourne was last served by Air India in April 1981, and Perth in June 1997. Tomorrow will see the return of Air India to Australia, the first service being operated by Boeing Dreamliner VT-ANK. AI312 operates from Delhi to Sydney, and AI311 operates Sydney to Delhi via Melbourne, four time a week, and in the opposite direction three times a week. Air India VT-EFU departing on 16Right on 16/06/1982 - 31 years ago. ![]()
