Default Blinds closed

Guys and gals

What can one do if during a flight with a window seat and you like looking out of same and not long after take off crew ask to close all window blinds?

I think airlines with this policy should buy windowless aircraft

Wait until the 787 becomes more popular and the crew close them all with a press of a button

Depending on the length of the flight, there isn't too much you can do but ignore the request.

Myself for the long US flights, I prefer they are closed once reaching cruise altitude, helps to see the TV screen, iPad can run on minimum brightness saving the battery, plus in the morning you don't have the sun waking you up too early before landing.

Plus the crew wants everyone to go to sleep quicker, so they can go back to galley to read the latest People Magazine and not have pesky self loading cargo annoy them
