Default About American Airlines & US Airways

As American Airlines and US Airways were merged together in few months ago, so I am wondering that Are American Airlines would change all US Airways into American Airlines liveries?

In few weeks ago, I flew in Harbour Sky Airport in Phoenix, Arizona and my aircraft arrived at Terminal 3 and then two weeks later, the American Airlines was transferred to Terminal 4 before I departed for home to Sydney via LA. Hope, it is interest you all.

From Clifford Cook.

All AA and US aircraft will eventually change to the 'new AA' livery. Progressively across the USA, US gates and AA gates will move together, such as your example at PHX. Even here at LAS, US moved from the A Gates to the D Gates, next to AA's gates.

However, I was at ORD (Chicago O'Hare) last month, and US's gates were still in terminal 2, together with the United Express flights, rather than AA's terminal 3 - so it is still a work in progress.

Hi Justin,

Thank you for your reply and it is much appreciated. I find that Sky Airport in Phoenix is still served by lots of SouthWest Airlines and US Airways services but American Airlines were much fewer to fly in or out of Phoenix per day. There are new Sky Train goes to Terminal 4 from the main street, as it is about 6 km roughly and there is a bridge right over taxiway for Sky Train and it is amazing.

This merger is gonna take a while. US Airways, certainly in terms of scheduling and FF Points is still more closely aligned to United right now. My wife just made Star Alliance Silver over here by flying on US Airways! It will start slowly and will take quite a while to achieve.

US Airways exits Star Alliance on March 30 and joins oneworld on March 31.

The merger itself and integration of the airlines' operations will of course take longer.

Yeah I just read that... they are getting organised faster than I thought... oh well, she has Star Alliance Silver for the rest of 2014, and flights on US Airways will give us Qantas miles, so it ain't too bad.
