That's unfortunate if you miss it. I'm surprised they aren't putting more coaches on to get people from the highlands down here just for this event. Surely they've seen the tickets are all sold out already?!!?

Looks like there was quite a few people watching from the BMX track, some what regret not being able to get there but its not like it will be departing YWOL anytime soon! :P But looked quite overcast (with some breaks, just not in the right spot), my stock lens wouldn't been too good (this is where the semi-pro/pro [$$$$] lens is needed) after the experience I had at Avalon.

I'll have to try and head there next weekend, want to check out HARS anyway.

Not often you see B744 in this list.

I'm surprised that only Ch7 Sydney showed "near" live report on the landing with huge crowds in the distance.

ABCNews 24 had nothing, I do believe SkyNews was similar to Seven.

Sunrise had about 20 seconds 'live' coverage from just before touchdown until part way through the rollout. Today had slightly more but only in their news. The others had nothing at all (free-to-air). Very disappointing.

One gets the feeling the crowds were just a tad too big for the authorities to handle....
