Default Anti Stall Device

Hey all,

On the old forum there was an interesting thread about how on the cowl of modern jet engines there is an angled piece which has something to do with changing the airflow over the wing to decrease the stall speed . Can anyone tell me what this device is called.

Thanks, Jared
