Scanner Advice

I am looking into buying a scanner, but some advice would be appreciated. Using at fields like MEL/AVV/OOL/SYD. I would like one distance that can reach MEL from AVV area, or BNE from OOL area plus SYD from MEL etc...I dont want to spend more than $200, and only a new one. Places like DSE, DSE powerhouse are good, Is there any other places In Melboune that sell them??

Having a decent scanner is one thing, but good reception will depend on having a quality aerial attached.
