RFS reporting that Thor (Tanker from Richmond) deployed to Llandilo and Londonderry
fire.

Maybe first time this fire season.

Aerial waterbombing was also happening at Callala Beach, south of Nowra, although I'm not sure what appliances were sent. There was what sounded like a Bell 412 departing from Wollongong mid afternoon.
There's been no thunderstorms, so it looks like it's possibly the work of some scumbag arsonist.

EDIT: according to this news story, two teenagers have now been arrested for the Llandilo fire. http://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-...dd8a96615d93e7

Watched from my front yard last night the C130 water bombing the Calalla Beach fire, along with the spotter aero commander.

Other aircraft i've seen so far are the Fire BK117, a Black with orange stripe Bell 206 and an EC135.

Quiet windy here in nowra at present, Hopefully it doesnt cause too much drama for the firies.

Thor is up and operational this morning (6/11) at the Lime Burners Creek fires north or Raymond Terrace.

Just saw it climbing out over my place.

And I missed a great pic opportunity..The DC10 crossed underneath a JAL777 on its way northwards...would have been a great pic....would have been....
