haven't even clocked up 10,000 shots with the 30D...anyways, I certainly don't want 15mb raw images on my CF or PC for that matter.

I am just about to click over 10,000 shots on my 30D. just hit over 9000 today at the zoo.

No, took just on 1000 shots actually. My camera was red hot. Looks like I got myself a new Birthday pressie being shipped in October.

The 50D is going to run alongside the 40D until atleast February, 40D will get a pricedrop down to $1299 RRP body only. The 50D will also be available to Retailers (not just pro stores, like the 40D until very recently) so there should be a lot more competition on price.
