Uzbekistan 757 in ADL
For those who may have missed the arrival, an Uzbekistan 757-200 arrived into Adelaide (in less than great weather) today to deliver the National soccer team who are playing in Adelaide on Wednesday.
The aircraft, registered VP-BUD arrived around 1030am local time and parked at bay 22 while passengers and crew disembarked and services attended. The aircraft was then towed to bay 83 at the old domestic terminal for it's stay. Assuming at this stage the aircraft will depart on Thursday 09OCT. Cheers David.M.

It's not the Uzbek national team but Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor who are playing Adelaide FC in the 1st leg of the AFC Champions League Semi Final.

Apparently Adelaide's trip to Uzbekistan is going to take 30 hours...i'll guess they aren't chartering a plane!

Nice photos David. The weather was shocking when it arrived, but cleared up when it was towed around the back of the old domestic terminal.

Yes, the game is tonight, and its a long trip to Uzbekistan (11077km direct accoriding to Great Circle Mapper) plus at least one stop, so the plane will be leaving tomorrow.
Now i've got to try and find out how Adelaide United are getting to Uzbekistan...curiousity always gets the better of me
