Default Another New Roo Painted

The second Qantas 767 to wear the new scheme is now in service today. Couldnt get a full frame as I was using the only decent lens that would fit in my bag. VH-OGP(Forbes) is the one. Hopefully this might mean Qantas are ready to start transforming from old to new.

Enjoy!

why bother painting another 767? Shouldn't the A330-300/747-400 fleet be further repainted instead of aircraft which will be retired in the not too distant future?

Fair point Jack but I think OGP still had 'The Australian Airlines' titles from the early '00s?? (Or am I thinking of another B767??)

They are not doing a wholesale repaint of the fleet to give all a/c the new variation of the livery. They are repainting the a/c when they need to be repainted.

I see. Actually sounds like a smart idea economically

Great shots Tim - I am happy to see another 767 in the new livery and particularly one of the later ones too.

As for the repaint issue, they are only going to be done when scheduled. I am sure they would love to do them quickly but the cost and time of it is too much. Look at UA for example - it just takes a lot time to repaint your fleet.

Next will probably be VH-OGQ or S as they have gone for a long time since repaint.

Most of the 767s have up to six years left.
