I am afraid that this is going to be somewhat thin on detail but a plane flew over today after taking off on 34L. I THINK the time was about 11.30am, but I could be completley out on that. Again I THINK it was a 767. It had 2 tone cheatlines (one light blue, one a darker blue). The cheatlines curved up onto the tail and became much wider. There was blue writing above the windows forward of the wings which I couldn't really read, except the first letter was an 'A' - it looked a bit like a stylised "ATA", but I really couldn't say what it was. I've checked the Acars on 16R.com (such a great resource, thanks Grahame) and the departures on the Sydney Airport website, but nothing looks like it could be a match. Any charter movements today??? Thank you

Could have been maybe the Air Transport International 767-200 Freighter service that runs between here and New Zealand. This fits all of your detail?

N761CX departed 34L at 1133 this morning and returned at 2050 this evening.

Hi Steve
The colours and cheatline that you mention certainly match the description of ATA's B767 N761CX which is now a regular Sunday visitor. Cheers Mark |
