Can't tell you the load, although I believe VH-OQB will be the aircraft departing Sydney on Saturday afternoon's QF31.

Thanks Anthony. Some interesting developments with this flight. It has gone into Kuala Lumpar for a few hours and just arrived about 30min ago back at Singapore due to weather. I find it interesting that all the other Sydney- Singapore flights made it in, but QF31 didn't.

6.55am - Further to this, my folks have just been told that they need to stay at a hotel in Singapore & go thorugh Singapore Customs???? Seems like the Singapore authorities are all over the place. Mum is says the auth over there don't know one hand from the other. Hopefully the Changi board is correct in saying that it is now last call... She reckons its definately not problems with the plane.

8.35am - All pax sent to hotels and flight has been retimed to 16:00 local singapore time(according to QF & Changi airport websites). Crew have run out of hours, as by the time they would have got to Heathrow, they would have done around 20 hours.

9am - Just spoke to Mum. All of the above info confirmed. Most Passengers sent to old Shangrila hotel near airport and given a room. Given free breakfast, and Lunch is booked for midday. Passengers being picked up at 1pm local. Flight sent to Kuala Lumpar due to "severe weather" over singapore. A380 could only go certain parts of the tarmac at KL, due to weight. Then fuel had to be ordered and given to plane. Was in KL for approx 3-4 hours. Apparently lots of other diversions from Singapore to KL. All pax in good spirits. Has been funny, with feeding mum and dad info, and they are telling other pax bout 20 min before the airline is able to. Apparently they had a few false attempts at getting off the plane in Singapore, as authorities weren't sure what they were going to do. They still haven't been told what time they are flying out this arvo, but the above websites are still showing those times.

QF31 has now just landed at Heathrow - All pax happy, to be there, even though arriving approx 17 hours late..I notice will still be doing the turn around and leaving heathrow at 1am and now landing back here in Sydney at 7.05am tomorrow(Tuesday). Wonder how this will stuff up A380 movements?

I am trying to work that out too as today's QF93 MEL-LAX flight was operated by a B747 instead of the usual A380.
Yet, all A380's are currently in service

Yesterday's (Sunday) QF31 was an A380 flight.
I thought this was normally a B747 flight?

Adam,
No the sunday QF31 flight is normally a A380 both ways. A380 only operated on selected days of the week. I know this because i have booked on the A380 QF32 coming back...

Thanks Kieran.
From memory, the A380 which operates Monday's QF93, usually arrives in Sydney as QF32 on Sundays.
So a Sunday arrival in Sydney = Thursday departure from London?
