Hi all,
I've just been looking at a couple of JP photos of Virgin Blue's EMB-170's, and noticed that some of the first pictures were taken in Seattle for its delivery flight. The comment notes that the aircraft flew from Brazil to Curacao (Netherlands Antilles), Brownsville (Texas) then on to Seattle and then Anchorage. Does anyone know what stops it made through Asia before reaching Brisbane? Many thanks.

Hi Gareth,
I would imagine it took a similar route to the Alliance F100's when they came from Mojave. After Anchorage the Alliance F100's went Nome, Vladivostok, Jeju, Manila, Biak, Townsville, Brisbane. Don't quote me exactly on that but it was a similar route to that. Cheers Michael |

We had an article detailing DJ's first 170 delivery...I think from Anchorage they flew via Vladivostok, Japan, Guam and Biak(?).

The first 2 170's went San Jose, Manaus, Curacao, Seattle, Anchorage, Petropavlosk, Kansai, Guam (1st one, Saipan from then on) Cairns and Brisbane.
The 3rd one went San Jose, Recife, Las Palmas, Malaga, Athens, Muscat, Male, Cocos Island, Broome and Brisbane The 1st one had 13 people on board and I was knackered at the end of it! |
