Default Tiger to overhaul A320 cabin

All new deliveries from next month will now be fitted with leather seats/mood lighting.

Not sure if they will change the current cabin's. For deliveries from March, so VH-VNO coming this March could be the first.

I am presuming that (p)leather seats and mood lighting are cheaper to maintain over the life of the aircraft than cloth and fluro lights? Or is the mood lighting so they can turn the cabin a nice blue to calm the anger of those who have been waiting hours for their $39 one way flight to the Gold Coast?

-VNO is ex- 9V-TAL msn4053, which although fairly new has been operating for Tiger (TR, atleast) since early October (9V-TAM and -TAN have also since been delivered and both regulars in Perth. FWIW, -TAN is Tigers first wholly owned a/c)

new finance agreements have been signed
http://www.asiatraveltips.com/news10...aysFleet.shtml

TT have a tendency to shuffle planes between singapore and australia dependant upon demand - go back to 319's - originally destined for australia went to singapore.......... so perhaps a little hard to guess where planes will go........

I would think that whatever JQ is going to do with new routes, example Brisbane, talk of darwin and I bet more frequency to Sydney, and with the rumour of TT going to AVV and JQ maybe moving all operations to Tullamarine, will have a bearing on where TT planes go......to try and combat JQ and also DJ, both of whom are really driving nails into TT.....

The worry is that from "others" we hear TT has planes parked due to minimal passenger loads...... be it as a result of poor frequency, route or simply no pax......... they really have to getv their act up and running with the new planes
