Just a quick question [that may well be quite irrelevant!] regarding BA10. Went past the airport to pick up my grandpa today from the domestic terminal and saw BA10 [B744] still at its' gate at around 4:45. By 5:15pm [it was due to leave at 4:40] it was still at the gate with no lights on, and shortly after [as we were leaving] I saw being towed around the side of the terminal, again with no lights on.

Just me?

Flightstats.com suggests the flight did depart Sydney at the time that you saw it yesterday, 5:15ish.
Perhpas the aircraft was being assisted with its taxiing?

Although a great resource the flightstats website is not always 100% accurate, especially when flights are delayed the times provided may be somewhat off.

BA10 was off blocks 1707 from Gate 32 and wheels up 1726. Scheduled departure was 1640. BA Ops did not publish a delay reason in the QF Ops system.
