I was wondering what would be the cheapest (APPROX) A380 or B747 flight from Melbourne. It doesn't have to be direct it can be via Sydney and it doesn't matter if it is on the way there or back?

Fly to Sydney and then get an Emirates flight to Auckland on the A380.

The flight leaves at 7:20. So I cannot make it in time as the first flight from MEL leaves at 6:00.

Stay at a hotel near Sydney airport and fly up the night before; prices start at $75

MEL-AKL (EK 345 or NZ 772) then AKL-SYD (EK 380) then SYD-MEL. I'm not too sure on timing, just check if you can make the connection in AKL. Thats the cheapest I can think of.
