Default Busy day at Cairns today

This morning

Dash 8 capital of Australia with 7 at domestic terminal plus 2 over at international

3 Qantas 767s at once at domestic terminal 1 each from SYD, MEL and BNE

The 3rd had to wait till gate is free as only 2 767 gates available

Yes Grant on weekdays we now get 3 767 as Qantas has recently up sized the BNE flight from a 737-800. I not sure what happened with Cairns terminal upgrade as the 5th domestic aerobridge meant to be installed last April well that was the original plan when it was still government owned but now the new private owners may have postpone it as its definitely needed especially in the mornings too.

Default Today in Cairns

We had 2 Air Niugini's a F100 and a Q400, 9 aircraft at International terminal:

3 Qantas 767s all together remarkable for a regional port:

Nice collection of different tails at International terminal.

Air fast is a regular visitor on monday's flying from Cairns to Timika in West Papua with connections there to Jakarta and Denpasar.

Today at Cairns there was a lot of Qantas aircraft together with 6 Dash 8s including one at international terminal.

Two A320s at the International terminal I not sure why?

8 Dash 8s various models in a row at domestic

An Overview of both terminals
