Default JQ423 report boat on fire?

Just heard this on Syd Approach. Not sure if it was a false alarm. Approach got them to hold about 20nm east of Palm Beach after reports of a boat on fire, and they seemed to have seen an unlit oil tanker with some 'light' coming from it.

Anyone know anything?

It might be better if they say what tdate it occured and the time then go on to Liveatc and download that particular timeframe because I think you can download in half an hour portions. You just need to work out what time it is in the time the site uses because they aren't in Australian time.

Hope this help

Reminds me of an incident at NZWP (Whenuapai) last year. My daughter was out flying with her boss and there was a large column of smoke from what turned out to be a car fire near the airfield.

They were on about a one mile final when the tower asked them to make a left hand orbit to investigate.
