QF762 was returned to gate at PER today.
According to t/table, this was ops by 737-800. It eventually departed at 15:19. Anyone know what happend? I heard on the radio someones partner was meant to be on the plane, they got to runway, return to gate. They said that a replacement plane from sent from YSSY, but it was too small ? I think this part of the story may not be true (although they could have sent a 733/734. They could not get anyone from QF to comment when i was listening). Apparently they couldnt find 4 pax either, so they had to wait for baggage for 1/2 hr to remove unaccompanied bags.... Was wondering if i could get someone to tell what transpired ![]() Thanks! |

Was to opb 763 VH-OGS. As of 0800 this morning (21/5), this a/c was still sitting on one of the new stand off bays at Perth.
-VXC which arrived yesterday as QF651 from BNE, ended up leaving as QF762 (albeit a few hours late) As a result, outbound QF79 (PER-NRT) last night was delayed, and ended up being opb A333 -QPI which flew in this morning from HKG (QF68). Normally this a/c returns to HKG on swaps with the A333 on the SIN (QF77/78) run. -OGS will now ops QF77 to Singapore this afternoon, and back as 78 tonight. |
