Default Scoot and USB charging

Can anyone advise if Scoot B777's have USB charging ports available for things like iPods etc?

Unfortunately they don't, you would have to wait until scoot take on the 787's.
From the SQ fleet it's only their 330's, 380's, 773ER and 345's (soon to be taken out) that have the USB ports.
The 772 and 772 ER's do not have USB ports, where the scoot planes have come from.

No worries, thanks. The request was for a friend of mine travelling with them next week.

Interestingly, our recent trip on the Air Canada B777 revealed that the USB port will charge an iTouch / iPhone, but not an iPAd. I had to plug my iPad into the mains outlet and use my Apple Charger.

iPod Nano & iTouch, and iPhone only require 500mn while the iPad reqires 2amps.

Grahame,

I have a Bluetooth device for my car with a USB port that also only charges my iPhone but not my iPad. The iPad must require more power to recharge.

While the iPad will say "not charging" it's still making use of the power and hence will extend the battery life if that's the only option you have.

While not in use it will still charge, but it's painfully slow.

There is electrical outlet below the seat in ScootBiz. Not sure about the normal economy.
