VH-OJD @ JFK

Saw OJD at JFK yesterday. Maybe not that surprising? Just thought OJD was kind of retired from Pacific flights since it flew domestic to Perth so much last year and then went on the Narita leg for a good while.....and is one of the older 744's in the fleet.

Maybe I'm making more out of it than what I should?

VH-OEE (744ER) spent Friday to Monday in Perth for the Antarctic flights, maybe it's related.

I think it did SYD-PER on Friday, Antarctic Sat & Sun, and PER-SYD on Monday.

Contradicts what AJ states in the January QF inflight magazine about only refurbished B747-400 and A380 operating all our services to US.

Also around 8-9 B763's have had the mini refurb with new seat coverings and iPads with Qstreaming installed but still the RR 763's appear in PER, one would of thought QF would operate their premium product on these flights to keep ahead of VA. QF574 is a good example for the month of January no consistency.
