Qantas Boeing 747 plane landed in Seychelles on Tuesday night with 215 passengers and crew. This Qantas plane is on a special charter by the Captain’s Choice, the Australian-based firm that remains a world leader in private jet tours. It is over a year ago now that Minister Jean Paul Adam, the Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, met with Phil Asker of the Captain's Choice in Melbourne, Australia. Both Minister Adam and Minister St.Ange formed part of a delegation accompanying President James Michel on his official state visit to Australia and were invited by Gaetan Barallon, the Seychelles Consul General for Australia, for the working dinner.
Since the Captain's Choice was established in 1994, they have become Australia’s experts in inspired travel. This is the third such visit to Seychelles by Captain's Choice using a Qantas plane. They are being handled by Mason’s Travel to facilitate their trip with over 200 passengers landing in Seychelles. This particular private charter on Qantas has traveled from Phnom Penh, Manadalay, Agra, Amman, Addis Abbaba, Ngorogoro/Serengeti, and to end the holiday in the idyllic Seychelles.
Captain’s Choice chooses remote destinations that offer diversity and uniqueness, yet provide ease and luxury throughout the destinations. Mason’s Travel has created a tailor-made itinerary for this group to include resorts such as Constance Ephelia, Kempinksi Seychelles, and Le Meridien Barbarons. The group, albeit for a short stay of 3 days, will explore the Seychelles through marine park excursions, Mahe discovery bus tours, and outings to Praslin and La Digue islands.
Upon their arrival at Seychelles International Airport, the passengers from the Qantas flight were greeted by a Kreol band and dancers, and the guests’ comments included “the best welcome they have had.” Journalists from Today newspaper and Pure FM radio station were on hand to cover the story.
