Baggage Transfers

Hi

I am flying Qantas in a couple of weeks, from SIN-SYD connecting in BNE.
My connecting flight is QF8 which leaves from the International Terminal. Will I need to collect and recheck my bags or will be it transferred for me since it is both international terminal flights?

Hi Julian

It will automatically be transferred for you. You will clear customs and immigration when you arrive at SYD.

However, pay attention to the status of QF8 on the day as it is quite often delayed when it has to detour via AKL. If that's the case, you should be given the option to transfer to a domestic service to take you down to SYD.
