N951UW has landed in HNL

Greg Hyde
23rd January 2022, 12:27 PM
N953QQ should be UYI and when N934QQ eventually arrives soon hopefully, it should be UYE

I've seen UYI mentioned on other sites.

With the ex-AA birds, after the next 2 are added to the reg, a pattern might develop and it may well be what you have predicted.

Seen yesterday in the BNE Alliance hangar is VH-XVQ ex N954UW.

This is the first ex AA E190 which arrived all white several months ago.

It is still all white.

Yes VH-UYI was also inside the hangar on the 21st Jan in full Alliance Livery.:)

Dennis McLean
24th January 2022, 09:07 AM
Dylan, where did you get that rego from? I know it is available by searching CASA but all the ex AA 190's should be in the XV group

Dennis McLean
24th January 2022, 03:44 PM
N951UW has just left MAJ 2.5 hours late and is heading to TSV, due at 7.50pm. It is then scheduled TSV/BNE at 9.10pm due in BNE at 10.22pm.

Dennis McLean
28th January 2022, 09:10 PM
Also with nose just in the hanger was VH-UYI, Alliance livery, ex N953QQ. Beside it outside was the all white, VH-XVQ, ex N954UW. This aircraft arrived on 11/9/21.

The Other one to arrive a few days ago N951UW, in Qantas link livery is on the old taxiway.

Dennis McLean
29th January 2022, 03:16 PM
VH-UYI was registered on 24 January

Dennis McLean
29th January 2022, 04:03 PM
It will be interesting to see how many of the E.190's are painted in QF Link Livery. There are only 7 UZ regos available, UZC, D, F, H I, K and Q. We already know that D and H are on aircraft, One in BNE and 1 in Costa Rica and I guess that N951UW also in BNE will be a UZ rego. Any thoughts???

N951UW which arrived on 24 January was cancelled from the USA Register on 27January. A new UZ? hopefully should be added any day now.
The only UZ's available were UZC, D, F, H, I, K and Q. With D used now and H on either N959UW or N961UW in San Jose, that just leaves 5.

Dylan Hardie
13th February 2022, 12:37 PM

QantasLink reveals new international route as Darwin named E190 hub

https://australianaviation.com.au/2022/02/qantaslink-reveals-new-international-route-as-darwin-named-e190-hub/

QantasLink is set to begin regular international hops to Timor-Leste on its Embraer E190s, under its ongoing wet lease agreement with Alliance Airlines.
Further, Qantas has announced Darwin will become a new jet base for its growing E190 fleet. The Flying Kangaroo is currently operating five Alliance E190s under the arrangement, however, has planned to operate at least eight.

The announcement comes hot off the heels of the news that Qantas will continue to operate its Kangaroo Route connecting Australia and London via Darwin, due to Western Australia’s ongoing border uncertainty.

At least four E190s will soon be based in Darwin to service key QantasLink routes across regional Australia, as well as a new permanent passenger service from Darwin to Dili in Timor-Leste.

Qantas has been operating weekly flights between Darwin and Dili since February 2021 in partnership with the Australian government, in order to “maintain critical passenger and freight links with Timor-Leste”, however, this service is now planned to ramp up and become a permanent commercial route.
QantasLink will initially operate three flights per week to Dili on its E190s, ramping up to five flights each week from July.

The regional carrier has also announced three new domestic routes from Darwin to Canberra, Cairsn and Townsville, all to be performed also on its E190s.
The airline said that combined, both announcements will boost both employment opportunities and tourism in the Top End, with at least 90 new pilots, cabin crew and engineering roles to be introduced.

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce joined Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner to make the announcement and unveil the first E190 in QantasLink livery at Darwin Airport and said the new base would secure more travel options for Territorians with flow on effects for the local economy.

“The E190 is a fantastic aircraft and the new routes and frequencies they have supported means that Darwin is better positioned to take advantage of the comeback of domestic tourism and business travel,” Joyce said.

“Basing these aircraft in Darwin means securing more jobs and a stronger local aviation industry.

“As we prepare to welcome back international visitors, the E190s will make it easier to fly directly between Darwin and other popular tourist destinations including Alice Springs for central Australia, encouraging travellers to see more of Australia.

“The E190 allows us to improve our schedule for NT travellers. When we first introduced the E190 on our Darwin to Adelaide flights, we were able to double the number of flights we offered each day, giving customers more choice about when they travel. We look forward to providing this flexibility across other new and existing routes.”

Hey Dylan, I cannot get an answer from my contact in San Jose so based on the VH-UZ group of regos available - D, F, H, I, K, Q = 6 I have worked out what may happen?
N955UW is VZD, the next one is N959UW - UZF?, next one 961UW - must be UZH, next one is N963UW - UZI?, next one N965UW - UZK?, last one N967UW - UZQ? All to be in QF colours??

Looking at the XV group and available regos, N951UW is VH-XVM, (QF livery), N954UW, (all white) is XVQ, therefore I expect that N952UW will become XVO and N953UW - XVP. What livery who knows.

The last lot N944UW, 945, 946, 947, 948, and 950, I expect will use 6 of XVB, D, E, F, J, K, and L. As there is no 949 my guess is K will not be used.

Any comments.

I have N959UW as the 20th E190 delivered to Alliance. Have I double counted somewhere?

Also, has this aircraft been re-registered to VH-UZF as yet?

Not according to the CASA website it hasn't.

I also make it the 20th. CASA register online shows 17 E190s with Alliance as the registered operator, plus the 2 (UYC and UYR) with Airnorth as their registered operator via dry lease makes 19, plus this one which doesn't appear makes 20.

The Photo in the background of the Qlink E.190 is N967UW, I have been advised by a friend in San Jose.

In the photo it looks as though there is also a white livery E190 to the left of the QLink N967UW and another E190 in what looks to be the remnants of the Copa Airlines livery. As there were only three E190s in San Jose on 8/4/22 they would be N965UW and N934QQ. Is this correct?

Greg Hyde
20th April 2022, 11:09 AM
Guys,

I only count the aircraft ON the register.

A good example, was ex. VA E190 VH-ZPT which arrived in Darwin in JetGo livery. JetGo collapsed before it could be delivered.

Ownership was never (formally) transferred (Registered) to Jetgo .

ZPT was taken up by Cobham and is now in Sth Africa with Airlink as ZS-YAT

I expect that the 20th will be either VH-UZF and/or VH-SEF (if the ownership is transferred before the next is added to Reg)

I try not counting my chickens before they hatch.

I’ve got the same as Greg. N967UW will become UZQ according to an earlier post.

UZD and XVM are the only two so far to enter service and both are based on Darwin. I assume both need to be based there so the Dili flight is Qantas-branded but that’s just an assumption.

As an aside, I’ve noticed some of the E190 routes have dropped away, being ADL-CNS/OOL and DRW-CNS/TSV.

Gents, I believe that N765UW is also in QF link livery, I saw a photo from SJO which showed 2 in QF link, not long before N967UW left for BNE. N963UW arrived in SJO after the photo I saw.

Remember that N934QQ the last COPA one is still there, has been since 21 June 2021. It is strange that it has not moved yet??? It will be UYE when it arrives eventually.

N965UW should be VH-UZK and N963UW VH-UZI, the only 2 UZ's left.. There are still 8 in ROW, N944UW, 945, 946, 947, 948, 950, 952 and 953. They should be all in the VH-XV? group. My view is 953 will be XVP and 952, XVO. The 6 others will take 6 of the 7 left below M. B, D, E, F, J, K and L.

XFN is registered as a Bell chopper and most of the other XF* are also taken. Alliance might’ve picked up one of the XF* regos from the VA A330s - there are no aircraft registered XFC, XFD, XFG or XFJ but in fairness I can’t see the list of available marks to see if any of those are reserved. CASA seems to have removed that product.

I don’t think SEF, the Embraer version anyway, has ever flown with that rego.

Should be QF Link. Before N967UW left SJO for Brisbane on 30/4, I saw a photo of 2 in QF link livery adjacent to each other there. It could not have been N963UW as it had not long arrived in SJO on 19/4. N965UW had been in SJO since 21/2.

Interesting there are now only 2 E.190's in SJO, N963UW and N934QQ the last COPA one which arrived in SJO on 21/6/21. That is almost 11 months now, wonder why????. I have just checked the rest and there are still 8 in Roswell, N944UW, 945, 946, 947, 948, 950, 952 and 953.

VH-SEF is out of paint and was spotted in TSV not long ago wearing Alliance livery (unsurprisingly, given it’s all economy configuration).

Not my photo, credit to Zac M for that.

Based on the ASX release published earlier (March 22), Alliance was committed to having 14 a/c leased to QF by 01/07/22.

One up 01/06/22 of 13 a/c.

The winner is UZQ

AND another - N950UW did a test flight as SXI2239, ROW/ROW on Wednesday 27/7 Local time. Is Roswell "kicking" them out??

Dennis McLean

Up to date news. N952UW has NOT left for SJO yet, BUT N950UW is now on the way from Roswell to Keflavik via Halifax as SXI2239, due in KEF in 3 hours at 03.07am GMT. Where is it going, I might ask, my guess is Bratislava where VH-UYZ has been for a week.
Perhaps with four N944UW, 946, 948 and 953 in SJO plus the last Copa one N934QQ it is getting rather crowed!!!

I have had a look at the Casa listing for the XV group of registrations. The ones left are XVB, E, F, J, K, L, O, P, S, T, U, X, Y and Z. That is 14 available. There are 16 AA machines of which the youngest 6 have received UZ regos, 955UW to 967UW, which leaves 10 to go. 951UW is XVM and 954UW is XVQ. so here is my thinking. From the oldest - 944UW should be XVB, 945 - E, 946 - F, 947 - J, 948 - K, 950 - L, 952 - O and 953 - P. Any comments??

Dennis,

What you can't see are the "reserved regos".

Unless QQ have reserved a rego someone else may have already reserved it for their own use.

Dennis McLean
7th August 2022, 03:08 PM
I guess so Greg, but perhaps Alliance have reserved them I only looked at the many many pages from the the casa list from AAA to ZZZ which of course only showed the registrations used. Would have to find the"available list" I guess.

According to the list of available marks, there are no XV* available to take or reserve. This means the 14 Dennis listed are reserved either by Alliance or someone else but, of course, without inside information we can't know either way.

Missed this one, on 11 August N952UW ferried ROW to SJO, that means there are now 6 in SJO, N944UW, 946, 948, 952 and 953 plus N934QQ. Only 2 now left on ROW, N945UW and N947UW

This is not totally about Alliances' E190s, however there is another aircraft flying with the rego VH - UZI
N963UW was added to the register as VH-UZI on 02/08/22.
On checking the rego VH-UZI on the 8/8/22 on Flightaware, I noted that “it” flew a local flight in the Lockyer Valley west of Brisbane!!!
Date Monday 08/08/2022
Departure 15:25 AESTLockyer Waters/Breefield - YLWB

Arrival 15:37 AEST (?)Lockyer Waters/Breefield - YLWB

Duration 0h 12m

Flightaware also indicates that UZI is a TECNAM P-2008 (VH-UZI).
So it appears there are two aircraft with that rego painted on them.
However checking the CASA register, the registered operater (DUNDAS, Adrian Peter) has an aircraft with the registration of YZI????? And according to the regisgter the aircraft is an AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT RV-14.
But checking FlightAware again, UZI flew as below on the 19th. Some one has a crossed wire!!

Date Departure Arrival Duratiom
