Qantas will recommence flights to New York, with a new service from Australia to the Big Apple via Auckland from 14 June next year.

The launch of QF3 and QF4 will see the flying kangaroo return to New York three days a week initially, after a three-year COVID-induced hiatus. Flights will be operated by its Boeing 787 Dreamliners, with three new aircraft scheduled for delivery next year.
Interesting announcement by QANTAS this morning returning to JFK with the flight numbers QF3 & QF4 being used again. It is assumed that the flights will only operate via AKL until replaced by A351s as part of Project Sunrise. Air NZ will be ecstatic.

The other revelation is that it looks as though VH-ZNL,M&N wont be delivered until next year based, on the last sentence.

Further reading of the full QANTAS end of year announcement has stated the following regarding its fleet:

Quote:
All Qantas and Jetstar aircraft based in Australia and New Zealand have returned to flying, with the exception of some Airbus A380s. Five A380s with updated interiors have now returned to service with the remaining five to follow by December 2023, once mid-life maintenance is completed. Qantas International is due to receive its three remaining Boeing 787-900s by the end of FY23.

A couple of A332s are also still to return to service.

VH-XMB was ferried to ASP and has now been deleted from the register. One must assume that it is being scrapped there.
